 This month's featured event is the 2008 Arabesque Belly Dancing Competition in San Diego at the Scottish Rite Center. It will really liven your year. It is on Saturday, December 13 from 8am-8pm, remember to bring a friend. This annual event includes belly dancing competition by local and foreign artists, workshops by internationally known instructors, and features a shopping bazaar offering a variety of dancing related merchandize. A number of other artists (not limited to belly dancers) also perform during the event and as part of the showcase.

- Balboa Park December Nights 2008 is on Friday, December 5, 5:00-10:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 6, noon-10:00 p.m. The museums doors will be open free of charge from 5-9 pm, both nights December Nights is expected to attract more than 300,000 visitors over the two days.
